It helps the operator to know

  • Where you are, or share your GPS location
  • Where it should go: the shop's name and address, or home
  • Year, make, model and colour
  • If it's all-wheel drive, electric, lowered or in a garage
  • Your keys, if you have them

Good to know

Before you call

Flatbed or wheel-lift?

Say so if your car is all-wheel drive, electric or low to the ground. Those usually go on a flatbed, and the request reaches operators who have one.

You choose where it goes

Your own mechanic, your dealer, your home: it is your car and your call. Put the address in the request.

Get it in writing

You get the price by text before work starts. Ontario also gives you rights on consent, rates and invoices, set out on our rights page.

Can you tow it to my own mechanic?

Yes. Put the shop's name and address in the request. You choose where it goes.

Can I ride in the tow truck?

Ask the operator. Many trucks have room for a passenger, but it's their call and depends on the truck.

Do you tow motorcycles, RVs or big trucks?

Some operators do. Say what it is in the notes and it goes to the operators with the right equipment.
